Crane orientation

It is assumed that the clock is positioned so that the crane’s stabilizer beams are always oriented towards 6 o’ clock.

A. Front-mounted crane with C-point = 6

In a standard configuration (illustration A), the crane is oriented with the stabilizer beam towards the truck body when the crane is front-mounted (C-point = 6). The valve block and the RCL safety system (in green on the illustration) are on the left side of the truck. And the centre of the crane’s working area is towards the rear of the truck.

B. Front-mounted crane with C-point = 12

But it is also possible to turn the front-mounted crane on the truck so that the stabilizer beam is oriented towards the driver’s cabin (C-point = 12). In this configuration, the valve block and the RCL safety system (in green on the illustration) are placed on the right side of the truck (illustration B). And the centre of the crane’s working area is towards the rear of the truck.

C. Rear-mounted crane with C-point = 12

When the crane is rear-mounted, the stabilizer beam is oriented towards the rear of the truck when the crane is with C-point at 12 o’ clock (illustration C). In this case, the valve block and the RCL safety system (in green on the illustration) are on the left side of the truck. And the centre of the crane’s working area is towards the front of the truck.

D. Rear-mounted crane with C-point = 6

But it is also possible turn to the rear-mounted crane on the truck so that the stabilizer beam is oriented towards the body of the truck (C-point = 6). In this configuration, the valve block and RCL safety system (in green on the illustration D) are placed on the right side of the truck. And the centre of the crane’s working area is towards the front of the truck.
