Hyva Rear Loader joins Sydney Waste Services fleet in Australia

Sydney Waste Services – responsible for waste management in the Greater Sydney area with a population in excess of 5.3 million people – has added a Hyva, rear-loading, refuse collection and compaction vehicle to its fleet of more than 45 vehicles.

In partnership with HSR Southern Cross – our distributor for New South Wales – Hyva has run extensive trials which have successfully demonstrated how the equipment can heighten service levels and add value to the operations of Sydney Waste Services.

Selection of the Hyva Rear Loader solution was influenced by its reduced energy consumption, lower noise, zero leakage, easier serviceability, and lower operating cost. Compactor efficiency and low noise thresholds were judged to be especially important for fleets which are operating on narrow urban roads, 24/7, including nighttime schedules when low noise operation is especially important.
