Quiet and emission-free Titan Skiploader solution
Hyva’s new electric skiploader is the quietest on the market and has no NOx or CO2 emissions, during loading and unloading of containers. This latest addition to the Titan skiploader family is ideal for businesses that operate in densely populated areas and for out-of-hours operations.
The proven Hyva Titan skiploader has been developed to integrate the battery-pack and e-PTO. Developed by Dutch bodybuilder Vlarotech/E-Hydro Power, the e-PTO facilitates the ‘silent’ operation of the skiploader. The skiploader can be mounted on any electric truck, and on any hybrid, CNG, LNG or Diesel truck. This self-sustaining skiploader can also function as a standalone unit, separate from any truck.
The emmision-free skiploader is optimized to have modular integratation of the battery packs into the platform. The oil tank is integrated into the front wall of the sheeting system, so the e-PTO can be easily located to the side of the chassis, ensuring the same amount of stowing space for sheets and tarpaulin required in daily use. The Titan Radio Remote (TRR) together with the standard Stepper Motor Spool (SMS) minimizes the use of battery capacity and maximizes operating times with the minimal amount of noise.
When this fully integrated electric and self-contained skiploader is mounted on an electric truck, the driving range of the truck is not affected.
For non-electric trucks, as an option, a second pump can be mounted and driven by the conventional PTO to give the customer maximum flexibility in operating the system.
Arjo Oosterveld, Sales Director Container Handling, commented “We are seeing more and more requests for environmentally-friendly – low noise and emission-free solutions – especially in densely populated areas.”
Driven by government initiatives, demand for this type of electric powered equipment is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years.
Rules and regulations to limit noise and exhaust emissions are currently being introduced in many countries and cities worldwide. In addition to this ‘silent’ and fully integrated electric skiploader, Hyva has already introduced electric hookloaders, cranes and tippers to offer customers the full range of environmentally-friendly solutions.
“Driven by government initiatives, demand for this type of electric powered equipment is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years," concluded Arjo Oosterveld.
This ‘silent’ skiploader has been delivered to a customer in the Netherlands who will charge the skiploader from solar panels installed on the rooftops of their commercial buildings, keeping the environmental impact to a minimum.
