Protection for you as operator 

High stand limitation – Envelope (HSL-E) is a system that protects the operator standing on the stand-up platform.  

When the operator is standing on the stand-up platform, the system monitors whether the main boom of the crane is below a predetermined angle, and if the jib is below the vertical position towards the platform. In other words, the system draws a safe envelope around the operator where the crane will never be able to enter. HSL-E offers the best possible working area while protecting the operator effectively against any risk of shearing and trapping. 

How it works 

The system works with the help of a series of sensors. They determine whether the operator is on the stand-up platform and monitor the position of the crane. The system stops the crane before it enters the protected envelope around the operator.  

It is possible to carry out the slewing movement in the entire slewing area, if the operator does not stand on the platform or if the main boom of the crane is above a predetermined angle. After a crane stop, the slewing movement can be operated freely back into the opposite direction. When moving the main boom above a predetermined value, the slewing movement can continue over the platform.
