Perfect solution for applications with tipping body

The Stabilizer duty control function (SDC) offers the possibility for the crane operator to work with the crane with a limited lifting capacity without the stabilizer legs being lowered to the ground. 

The SDC function automatically derates the crane’s lifting capacity when all stabilizer legs are not lowered to the ground. This function is very useful if you have a tipping body and you need to raise the main boom of the crane in order to tip the body without having to lower the stabilizer legs to the ground.

How does it work?

During the stability test of the vehicle, the body builder defines three levels of lifting capacity depending on the support situation of the vehicle.

-          2CYBEL capacity (full capacity) when the stabilizer beams are extended and the stabilizer legs are lowered to the ground.

-          CYL capacity when the stabilizer beams are retracted and the stabilizer legs are lowered to the ground.

-          SDC capacity when the stabilizer legs are not lowered to the ground.

If the crane is configured with cylinder limitation (CYL) or 2-section cylinder and beam limitation (2CYBEL), the SDC function makes sure that the lifting capacity of the crane is automatically adapted in relation to the current support of the vehicle, i.e. the current stability.

Therefore, the crane operator does not have to activate the different system modes by means of the press buttons on the RCL box. After starting up the crane, the SDC automatically registers the signals from the sensors, and it is then possible to change from stabilizer mode to crane mode. The lifting capacity of the crane is adapted to the current stabilization.
