High stand safety system - basic
Operating a crane from high stand provides an increased visibility and improves working conditions. But it requires an efficient safety system in order to avoid any striking risk for the operator.
Protection for you as an operator
High stand limitation (HSL) is a system that monitors whether the operator is standing on the stand-up platform. When the operator is standing on the stand-up platform, the slewing movement is stopped before the boom system of the crane moves over the platform. Thus, it It prevents the crane from striking the operator If you do not stand on the platform, it is possible to carry out the slewing movement in the entire slewing area.
How it works
The system is automatically activated when the operator is standing on the stand-up platform. Here the slewing movement of the crane is stopped before the boom system of the crane reaches the stand-up platform. This prevents the risk of shearing and trapping the operator.
If the crane comes to a stop, the slewing movement can be operated freely back into the opposite direction.
