Manual extension

Manual extensions must be fitted in the hydraulic boom system of the crane and locked with lock pins with split pin before lifting. It can be used for relatively low loads which have to be lifted at long reach.

Manual extensions come with an indication system, so that the operator can make sure that a manual extension is not being overloaded by the load, which it is going to lift, even though all hydraulic extensions are not extended. The indication system is not an automatically acting system. Before lifting a load in a manual extension, the operator must make sure, by means of the indication system, that the load can be lifted without overloading the manual extension.
