Quadrant operator protection system

Safety for you as an operator is very important. When the Quadrant Operator Protection System (QOPS) is activated, and the crane's main boom is below a predetermined angle, or the jib is below the vertical position towards the control position, the slewing movement and the downwards crane movement will be stopped.  

After a crane stop, the slewing movement can be operated freely back into the opposite direction. When moving the main boom above the predetermined value, the slewing movement can continue over the area. 

QOPS and ground control 

If your crane is with ground control, the QOPS systemwill prevent all crane movements near the control levers of the valve block and of the dual control. By this it prevents the boom from striking you as operator or trapping you against the vehicle. 
By operating a push button at the opposite side of where the end of the extension is positioned, it is possible to move the crane into an operation area.  

QOPS and remote control 

When the crane is remote controlled this safety system gives no restrictions, as you can move freely outside any danger zone. In the case of emergency operation of the crane on the ground, the system will work in the same way as QOPS for cranes with ground control with one control position.
